Discussion... Severe thunderstorms are moving eastward from Central South Dakota to Northeast South Dakota and eventually into Minnesota. A storm on the North Dakota/South Dakota border has been tornadic for a while now, with warnings hoisted at this moment.
This watch will go until 3 AM CDT. With tornado probabilities at moderate for regular tornadoes and F2+ tornadoes, this is a concern. We will keep you up to date with the latest info.

Discussion... Severe thunderstorms have developed in South Dakota. These storms began as supercells and now appear to be congealing into a linear formation as expected. However, with strong CAPE, it looks like there remains a threat for tornadic activity through the night. This watch will expire at 1 am CDT.

   THE NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER IN NORMAN OK IS FORECASTING THE
   DEVELOPMENT OF TORNADOES...LARGE HAIL AND DAMAGING WINDS OVER PARTS
   OF THE NORTHERN PLAINS THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT.
   
   THE AREAS MOST LIKELY TO EXPERIENCE THIS ACTIVITY INCLUDE
   
          CENTRAL AND EASTERN NORTH DAKOTA

   AFTERNOON PROVIDING THE FOCUS FOR INTENSE THUNDERSTORM DEVELOPMENT.

   SOUTHEAST ND DURING THE EVENING...AND EVENTUALLY INTO WESTERN MN.
